How to Use Frameworks with Claude

Set up your RPG frameworks in Claude Projects for organized, consistent assessments. Claude's project system makes it easy to manage multiple frameworks in one place.

📋

Setting Up Your Framework in Claude

Follow these steps to upload and use your RPG frameworks with Claude Projects.

1

Download Your Framework

Go to the Frameworks page and download the ZIP file for your chosen framework. Extract the JSON file to your computer.

2

Open Claude and Create a New Project

In Claude, click on "Projects" in the sidebar, then click "Create Project".

Note: Claude Projects require a Claude Pro subscription.
3

Name Your Project

Give your project a clear name that matches the framework (e.g., "Brand 360 Audit" or "Content Planner").

4

Add Project Knowledge

In your new project, click "Add content" or the "+" button in the Project Knowledge section. Upload your framework JSON file.

5

Set Custom Instructions (Optional)

You can add custom instructions to guide Claude's behavior. For example:

"You are a strategic advisor using the RPG Brand 360 Audit framework. Guide the user through each section of the assessment, ask clarifying questions, and provide actionable recommendations based on the framework."
6

Start Your Assessment

Begin a new chat within the project and ask Claude to run the assessment. It will automatically reference the framework knowledge you uploaded.

Claude-Specific Tips

  • Use multiple chats per project: Claude lets you create multiple conversations within the same project, perfect for running different client assessments with the same framework.
  • Leverage Claude's long context: Claude excels at handling large documents. Upload additional client materials alongside the framework for deeper analysis.
  • Export your conversations: You can copy and export Claude's responses to share with clients or save for your records.
  • Update framework files easily: When we release updates, simply replace the old JSON file in your project's knowledge base with the new version.
  • Organize by client or framework: You can create projects organized by framework type OR by client—choose what works best for your workflow.

Best Practices

  • One framework per project: Keep each framework in its own project to avoid mixing assessment criteria.
  • Review the README first: Read the framework overview included in your download to understand the assessment structure.
  • Name your chats clearly: Use descriptive chat names like "Acme Corp - Brand Audit" to stay organized.
  • Ask for structured output: Request that Claude format responses as reports, bullet points, or tables for easier client delivery.
